What Is The Incubation Period Of The Swine Flu, A/h1n1?
by admin
The Swine Flu, H1N1, is a growing pandemic threat. How long is it from the time of exposure, until the time that symptoms appear, and also, to the time of contagion? The latter two may be the same, but the former should be different.
I am concerned, as any responsible person should be about his health, the health of his family, friends, and community.
I am a student of history, and know that with the 1918 pandemic, people got sick, then recovered, and then later, died by the bushel full.
I am extremely concerned about his situation. If it becomes something rather benign, my concern is unwarranted. If my concern is on the other extreme, we should be alarmed and take as many precautions as possible.
Prudence says to wait for the facts to come. But, maybe, prudence says, let’s shut down things to be safe, rather than sorry.
In light of the global economic crisis, I think that countries are slow to shut down travel due to the further hit on global business.
I think they are cowards, and this time should show great bravery…..let the chips fall where they may. If the epidemiological situation signals pandemic, shut things down.

Did You Know About The Latest Suspected Casualty From H1n1 Vaccine?
by admin
in ref to:http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/33845867/ns/…
Yes, don’t even tell me about the “one in a million” chances. It still happened.
And the CDC says there’s “no clear link” when the person got symptoms of GBS just HOURS after getting the vaccine! Unbelievable!
From the article: “Doctors are reluctant to discuss GBS in connection with vaccines… Anti-vaccine groups frequently cite the disorder as evidence of vaccine dangers, which public health officials fear will discourage people from getting life-saving protection, especially in the case of H1N1.”
–But it IS evidence! The “odds” don’t make an incident like this “okay.”
article: “…officials have urged the public not to blame the vaccine for the illnesses.”
–WHAT?

Can My Body Fight And Heal From The H1n1-swine Flu Without The Vaccine?
by admin
feeling really sick this whole week and it seems everyday i am getting a little more worst my symptoms include
stuffy-running nose
congestion
sore throat-coming and going
body aches
head aches
coughing alot and almost throwing up
fatigue
no fever- so no chills but i have been very cold
etc
hoping its not the swine flu but wont know till i go see a doctor
then again i do not have insurance so if i go-i will have to go to the emergency room*which sucks*
Overall, i am totally against the h1n1 vaccine, i know its a setup-so i will not be getting that
So my question is will my body fight back and naturally heal it self if its the swine flu or will i continue to get worst?

How Do I Write A Company Policy Regarding H1n1?
by admin
I am working on writing a policy for the nonexistent HR department of a small company regarding H1N1 and I haven’t a clue on how to go about this. I haven’t been able to find any good sources online to help me outline this.
All i know is that the company, in short, wants the workers to call the doctor and their supervisor when ill with flu like symptoms and not come in till a fever of 100degrees is gone for 24 hours without the use of fever reducing meds like Tylenol .

New Rules For Labor And Delivery At The Hospital Because Of H1n1. Anyone Else?
by admin
They have rules where I’m delivering because of h1n1 going around. I can pick 3 people to come into labor and delivery. They will get wristbands after they’ve been checked for flu symptoms and these are the only 3 people that can use the wristbands. Once I’m moved to postpartum visiting hours are from 2-7 and you can have 3 visitors at a time after they have also been checked for flu symptoms. No one under 18 can visit unless they are one of the original 3 that got a wristband. Is anyone else hospital doing something similar? It doesn’t really affect me either way because most likely it will just be my boyfriend there. My family is 6 hours away and probably won’t make it until after I have the baby but I could see some people being upset because both sets of grandparents plus their boyfriend can’t all be there. What do you all think?

What Are Schools Around The World Doing About H1n1 Influenza (swine Flu)?
by admin
I’d like to know what actions schools around the world are taking to prevent H1N1 (Swine) Flu spreading! To be honest, schools in my country are giving any student with any flu-like symptoms a 1 week sickness holiday. Any school that is proven to have a student with swine flu would close the class with the student in it, and if 2 or more students are proven to be infected in 2 different classes, the whole school is shut down for 2 weeks!

Moms Of Babies Who Have Had The H1n1?
by admin
My hubby was just told last night at the hospital that he has the swine flu more then likely. Im already feeling ill, and I have an 8 month old son, so chances are if its the h1n1 he’ll get it because hes only had the seasonal flu vaccine. Have any of your babies or really young ones had it yet? What are the symptoms in babies to watch out for? How did they handle it and how long did it last in them?
Thanks =)

Telling The Difference Between Regular Flu And H1n1?
by admin
Okay, so I’ve been sick for 4-5 days now. I’ve had the regular flu before but it’s never been this bad. I already went to my doctor and I’m being tested for the H1N1 but my results won’t get back for approx. another 6 days. So I’m just wondering, what’s your take on my sickness. Regular flu or not? So my symptoms are aches and pains, headaches, stomach aches, fatigue, really bad cough, stuffy/runny nose, sore throat, really bad chills, and I think that’s it. There’s nothing else I can think of right now, but any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Pregnant And Need Some Kind Words About H1n1?
by admin
So Monday my 7 year old was diagnosed with H1N1, he had a high fever and body aches and a cough… he is doing 100x better with just a lingering cough…. I called my OB right away (I’m 30.2 wks) and was given Tamiflu as a precaution I started that on Monday and have had no symptoms. It scares me to take it as it is a category 3, but both my OB and my high risk dr *I also have gestational Diabetes* said I need to take it and at this point it is my best option.
Today after his morning nap my 1 year old woke up with a 101.8 fever… so he now has it…
I am just so stressed, my children have never seen me cry, but today they did… and of course I am not supposed to stress, but much easier said then done.
If you have any encouraging words/stories I would greatly appreciated them.
Thank you.
