This is my secound day sick, I’m light-headed but not really dizzy, have a fever that’s varied from almost 101 to almost 100. My nose isn’t runny or stuffy and I have the occasional painful cough (that produces a little muckus). I felt kinda weak yesterday but not today, just tiredness. The day before I got sick I hiked a mountain and got quite a bit more exercise than usual. My younger brother had the same symptoms recently. I got the H1N1 vaccine a couple weeks ago, I’m not sure exactuly how long. Any ideas on what I have or how I can get better faster?
Thanks very much.
“Puspa” & “Caroline Jonas” are right on with their answers … I don’t know what planet the other person is from … lol …
H1N1 seems to target children and pregnant women as its “preferred” victims but it is not limited to them. Two of the biggest signs of H1N1 are a constant fever of over 100 that creeps slowly higher and lack of appetite and dehydration. The other symptoms given are part of it but it is these two that point to it being H1N1 and not the “normal” flu. Given the symptoms you describe I would bet the farm that you either have the “normal” flu or are having a slight reaction to the vaccine. I wouldn’t worry about it too much but if your fever continues then I would seek medical attention. I will say that this thing is nothing to be toyed with … it is deadly and can get you in the blink of an eye. If you’re wondering yes, I’ve had it and my not going to the doctor when I first got sick almost cost me my life. I just got out of the hospital after a 5 day trip through hell and back. This thing is nasty and I wouldn’t wish it on even my biggest enemy.
As I said before I seriously doubt that you have it but if your fever doesn’t go away I would get help. I felt like I had been hit by a mack truck … many times and most of them that hit me backed up and hit me again … lol … I’ve never been so sick in my entire life.
Good Luck and as always …
May The Force Be With You …

It could be H1N1. The symptoms are alike to your symptoms.
I’ve been sick since yesterday, too, but with extreme exhaustion, tiredness, a severe migraine headache and sore throat.
Go to your doc, ER, or urgent care center. They’ll probably pinpoint your symptoms to relate to the Swine since there are so many people out sick and at these medical help centers. I’m sure they’ll help you out loads.
