I was diagnosed with H1N1 flu the first week in Nov.(had all the symptoms high fever, aches, sore throat, headache and had a positive nasal swab) Two weeks later I got a cold that lasted for a week. Now(3 wks after H1N1) I am sick again with a severe cold/sinus infection…also have a sore throat again, but no fever. Is it possible this is a secondary bacterial infection from H1N1? Thanks.

Our whole family just went through this same thing. Me, my husband, our 2 kids, and both my parents all just got over the H1N1 flu.
We all had the boomerang effect in some way with this flu. Some of us were better for a day or two, some of us were better for over a week and it hit us twice as hard when it came back. I ended up with a sinus infection that developed almost 2 weeks after my fever went away.
It’s possible you have a infection, or it may have not gone away fully and it bouncing back again. I know lots of other people who have also had this flu that had the exact same thing happen. You start to think your getting better, or all better, then it just comes back around again. Some times with the same old symptoms, some times with a few new ones you didn’t have the first time around.
If you never were completely over the H1N1 flu then anything is possible. Also, this cold etc. just might be a secondary virus to the H1N1 too. I’m surprised that you had a positive reaction to the nasal swab test without vomiting and diarrhea, two very classic symptoms of it. Please see your doctor to find out what you do and/or do not have. This way you can be sure this time even if you did see him/her the first it never hurts to go again. Good luck and God Bless

My Sister and My brother had the same thing and they went to the doctors
And the doctor said That once you get the H1N1 , you wont get It again.
And So that came true ( LOLL )
They got exactly the same thing you just got
And so we went back to the doctor and he said Now Its just the seasonal flu But tougher on your body than last years or the year before because of the swine flu.
So yea.
Try taking advil not tylonel or some other stuff.
It makes you recover from the cold faster.
