My husband’s whole work along with him seem to have come down with the swine flu. My problem is that I’m a insulin taking diabetic. I’m worried about myself and my kids. Should I be so worried, I seem to be having some symptoms… Not really bad yet, just sore throat starting today.

If your symptoms get worse, go to ER or your doctor. You and your children (younger than 4 y.o.) are in a group of people who are at increased risk of flu complications. In the meantime, you should check your blood sugar more often – stress and infection can raise your blood sugar
i’m type 1 diabetic and had had swine flu! its really not that bad o.o i’m the youngest in my family and DIABETIC!yet i was the lest sick out of all of us o.o but i got started on anti biotic early AS SOON AS I GOT A SORE THROAT!! so i recomend you do
