Moms Of Babies Who Have Had The H1n1?

My hubby was just told last night at the hospital that he has the swine flu more then likely. Im already feeling ill, and I have an 8 month old son, so chances are if its the h1n1 he’ll get it because hes only had the seasonal flu vaccine. Have any of your babies or really young ones had it yet? What are the symptoms in babies to watch out for? How did they handle it and how long did it last in them?
Thanks =)

Telling The Difference Between Regular Flu And H1n1?

Okay, so I’ve been sick for 4-5 days now. I’ve had the regular flu before but it’s never been this bad. I already went to my doctor and I’m being tested for the H1N1 but my results won’t get back for approx. another 6 days. So I’m just wondering, what’s your take on my sickness. Regular flu or not? So my symptoms are aches and pains, headaches, stomach aches, fatigue, really bad cough, stuffy/runny nose, sore throat, really bad chills, and I think that’s it. There’s nothing else I can think of right now, but any help would be appreciated. Thanks :)

Pregnant And Need Some Kind Words About H1n1?

So Monday my 7 year old was diagnosed with H1N1, he had a high fever and body aches and a cough… he is doing 100x better with just a lingering cough…. I called my OB right away (I’m 30.2 wks) and was given Tamiflu as a precaution I started that on Monday and have had no symptoms. It scares me to take it as it is a category 3, but both my OB and my high risk dr *I also have gestational Diabetes* said I need to take it and at this point it is my best option.
Today after his morning nap my 1 year old woke up with a 101.8 fever… so he now has it…
I am just so stressed, my children have never seen me cry, but today they did… and of course I am not supposed to stress, but much easier said then done.
If you have any encouraging words/stories I would greatly appreciated them.
Thank you.

Do I Have The Swine Flu/h1n1?

Give me a rundown on the symptoms and I’ll tell you what’s been happening to me:
-My temperature hit 103 degrees (F)
-I’ve had major chills when it really isn’t that cold
-I’ve had a semi-soar throat
-The past couple of days I’ve woke up extremely dizzy and dazed
-When i cough, I have small pain in my throat
But I feel fine, honest. That’s why I doubt them all. but I have asthma and also haven’t gotten my flu shot or my H1N1 shot. If I really do have it… the f-bomb can’t even describe how screwed I am. I’m but a teenager, so notifying the doctor would be difficult. And my parents, on the other hand, are dumb as

My Sister In Law Has The H1n1 Flu, She Lives W/ My Other Sis In Law Who’s Pregnant, Im Also Pregnant…?

Their mom wants me to have my sister in law come and stay at my house to get her away from the sick sis, but I am also pregnant and I have a 10 month old son. The sisters share a room, they are always together and they share drinks, food, smoke off the same pipes, ect. I would think that if the older sis is sick with the h1n1, that the younger pregnant sister will have it very soon, because of how close they are. They are upset that I wont let her come and stay at my house but I do not think that is a good idea, I dont want to get it and I do not want my baby to get it! I believe that shes going to get it whether she is here or there and all that would happen if she came here is that me and my baby would catch it too. Also we went over the their house last night and had dinner with them, and it pissed me off that they always invite us over and when we get their someone is always sick, but they never warn us first! I hate that, isnt that rude? I always warn people if me or my kids are sick, before they come over, especially if they have kids or are pregnant, I just think its common sense. But they never warn us, then we always end up sick. So does anyone know for sure if it would be ok to have the younger pregnant sister come over to stay here with us, if shes not showing any symptoms? I think the parents should put her up in a motel. Well thanks and God bless you all.

How Many Moms Have Gotten The H1n1 Vaccine For Themselves/their Children?

was wondering, despite my adamance in NOT getting the H1N1 shot for my kids, how many parents have? I’m going to say now-I’m caving, because we had to take my daughter (who’s six and in first grade) to the ER Thursday because she had “flu like symptoms” (Called the nurseline, they told me to bring her in) and a fever. She’s six. Luckily, she got checked out and has strep thraot and NOT swine flu,but I’d like to avoid that, and it’s a LOT worse than I thought it was going to get (how many people are getting it/have it) So I’m calling Monday to see about the vaccine for her, myself, and my husband. All because we have a 12 week old little boy,and the chances he’s more high risk for it,and could die easier from it. Does this make sense to anyone? Has anyone gotten the vaccines for themselves/kids,and what all effects have/are you seeing? I’m just curious, before I go jumping into something like this. I was just wondering, because we think we are all 3 going to get it now. It’s strange how one little event can make you jump so quickly to do something you were adamant about NOT doing.
Before someone says anything,it’s made like all vaccinations-EVERY VACCINATION MADE has a mostly dead strain of the virus in it. Research it. I say this b/c I’ve asked this in a few sections, because it’s something I’m really wondering. I know that it’s made like all vaccines, with a mostly dead strain of a virus. I know the risk of both. It’s a damned if you do and damned if you don’t situation as a parent. They are running short on tamiflu (the treatment for swine flu) in a lot of areas, which is what’s making me think of doing it this way.

Do You Think I Have The H1n1 Flu?

At first I was sure I just had a cold and wouldn’t even let my mom take my temperature. But I just did a bit ago because I was having strange, upsetting dreams during the day (I fell asleep reading Twilight), and kept alternating from feeling sweaty and hot and chilled. It was 100.4. Here are my symptoms:
1. Sore throat
2. Bad cough
3. Really bad aches, particularly in my legs as if I’ve run for miles
4. Slight headache, especially when I move my head
5. Hot and sweaty alternating with chills
6. Very tired
I really don’t want to have the H1N1, since I have so much going on this weekend and this week, but I think I may just be a bit in denial….haha. If you think I do, how long does it normally last and should I go to the doctor or just ride it out?

Are you planning to download Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle,rc helicopters parts, but feeling a bit confused about whether this is the right solution for you? I hope this article will help you make up your mind.

Could This Be Swine Flu/h1n1?

Okay, so I’m not a germ freak in any way, and don’t have a fear of swine flu. However, I was sick today and looked up the swine flu symptoms. All the sites said temperature, headache, muscle soreness, runny nose, cough, sore throat, tiredness, etc. I went black Friday shopping and was warmly dressed, but I went to an outlet mall at midnight. It was cold, and I was exposed to a lot of people. Then I rode horses for 2 hours in 54 or so degree weather in only a sweatshirt. I rode Sunday. So today, Monday, I stayed home sick. I slept most the day, and when I sat up after lying down, had a huge headache. (this is not unusual for me) My temperature has ranged from below average to a slight temperature. (97.9 to 99.5 degrees farenheit) My throat hurts and gargling salt water, cough drops, and other things haven’t worked. My nose has been runny/stuffy as well. Could this be H1N1? Please only serious answers/advice.
