Sick. Here’s My Symptoms. Do I Have The Regular Flu Or H1n1?

I woke up this morning with a fever of 102.6 and a horrible headache. I took two ibuprofen and went to sleep. 4 hours later I woke up and my headache was gone but my temperature was now 103.0. But I’m not throwing up and don’t have an upset stomach.
-High fever.
-Back hurts.
-Neck hurts.
-Headache.
-Arms and legs hurt.
-Sinus congestion.
-Coughing.
-Fatigue.
Does it sound like I have the flu or H1N1 even though I’m not vomiting or my stomach’s not hurting?

I’m sorry to read that you have the flu. I myself just had the flu, (well actually I’m still coughing). You certainly have the same symptoms that I had (except I also had diarrhea). To answer your question as to whether you have the H1N1 flu is not possible unless you get the nasopharynx swab test. Your Dr., if he has the kit in his office, would be able to perform the test and let you know in a short time.
The headache was horrible for me and lasted 3 days while the fever finally broke after 4. My Dr.’s office told me that the fever may last 5 days. According to my Dr. a person with the flu is contagious for 2 weeks from the start of any symptoms especially if your still coughing and 1 day before.
Get plenty of rest and drink a lot of fluids to keep from getting dehydrated from the fever.
You will get better soon! Take care!

  2. h1n1 have the same symptoms as the flu, just much more intense. if you have ever had the flu before and this seems worse then it may be h1n1. only way to know is to get checked out!

I am going to say flu. All the classic symptoms of it anyway. H1N1 is nothing to really mess with but paranoia is going to help you either.

Go to the doctor there is no sense in risking it.
