And the CDC says there’s “no clear link” when the person got symptoms of GBS just HOURS after getting the vaccine! Unbelievable!
From the article: “Doctors are reluctant to discuss GBS in connection with vaccines… Anti-vaccine groups frequently cite the disorder as evidence of vaccine dangers, which public health officials fear will discourage people from getting life-saving protection, especially in the case of H1N1.”
–But it IS evidence! The “odds” don’t make an incident like this “okay.”

What Are Schools Around The World Doing About H1n1 Influenza (swine Flu)?
I’d like to know what actions schools around the world are taking to prevent H1N1 (Swine) Flu spreading! To be honest, schools in my country are giving any student with any flu-like symptoms a 1 week sickness holiday. Any school that is proven to have a student with swine flu would close the class with the student in it, and if 2 or more students are proven to be infected in 2 different classes, the whole school is shut down for 2 weeks!

Pregnant And Need Some Kind Words About H1n1?
So Monday my 7 year old was diagnosed with H1N1, he had a high fever and body aches and a cough… he is doing 100x better with just a lingering cough…. I called my OB right away (I’m 30.2 wks) and was given Tamiflu as a precaution I started that on Monday and have had no symptoms. It scares me to take it as it is a category 3, but both my OB and my high risk dr *I also have gestational Diabetes* said I need to take it and at this point it is my best option.
Today after his morning nap my 1 year old woke up with a 101.8 fever… so he now has it…
I am just so stressed, my children have never seen me cry, but today they did… and of course I am not supposed to stress, but much easier said then done.
If you have any encouraging words/stories I would greatly appreciated them.

Should I Be Concerned About My Symptoms.?
Long story short, I babysit a 17 month old. Her sister got sick and then in turn got me and the baby sick. (despite my Lysol, hand sanitizer and go wash your hands efforts)
With H1N1 going around, I’m a little nervous about my symptoms.
I have a horrible dry cough, pains in my chest, i get winded walking ten steps, stuffy nose, and suddenly I’m very dizzy. Also, my temperature has been climbing steadily over the last two hours from 97.9 to 100.1.
What does this sound like? Should I be concerned or will my regular cold/flu meds and routine (rest, fluids) do the trick?
Also, going to the doctors is out of the question because my doctor is moving to a new practice and our files are no longer in their systems and I cant pick them up until Thursday.
Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.

Why Is There So Much Hype About This H1n1?

Above is a link to an surveillance report for the 36 pediatric deaths from H1N1 as of August 2009. It can be assumed intelligently that the 78 additional deaths to date will have similar stats since it’s only a 2 month time span since the original report and it’s the same flu, right?
OK. Since the report shows that nearly all of the children had serious preexisting medical conditions, why is there so much propoganda about “swine flu is killing the kids?” These children likely would have had serious complications if it was the seasonal flu, as well. I had the seasonal flu and I thought a sumo wrestler was sitting on my chest.
Argument to this (from people who are still not willing to accept the data provided) is that “well, I’ll still get my healthy kids vaccinated to protect someone else with a weaker immune system.”
If I am not mistaken, doesn’t the vaccine make it so you will have less severe symptoms. It prepares your body if you do get the flu. Your body will already be familiar with it and be better prepared to fight it, hence less symptoms. So, you’re still getting the flu and could still infect someone with a weaker immune system.
What is the benefit of this vaccine for healthy kids and why is the media/government hyping it up like it’s killing kids left and right?

Another Question About H1n1?
Very sorry to add to the growing list of H1N1 questions, but recently a friend of mine contracted it and I have a few questions I have not found answers to.
My friend was taken to the hospital about an hour ago by paramedics. Her boyfriend called me and told me she had slept from around 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm and she called him to tell him she was scared, shaking, and she didn’t know why she was sleeping so much. I don’t have much information about her condition, but would anyone be able to give me a guess of how severe it would be at that point?
Another question I have is concerning her past with flu shots. When I talked to her about it around a year or two ago, she said she had never gotten one in her life. Will this have a negative effect on her recovery? Or will it not make too much of a difference? She is very physically active and has a strong immune system, but lately she has been very stressed; will this also affect her recovery?
Last question is about those of us who have been around her for the past few days/weeks. Are there any symptoms we should look for in particular for when it is first contracted? We all know there is a high possibility we could have caught it, but is there any way to tell for sure in the early stages? If it means anything, another close friend of hers and myself have had headaches for the past 2 or 3 days, but I am unsure if her boyfriend has symptoms at the moment.

Who Should We Believe About The H1n1 Flu Vaccine?
How are we to know who to believe when it comes to getting the H1N1 vaccination when one day you hear from very well respected medical Drs and other sources that we should not be vaccinated under any circumstances because the vaccine can be more dangerous than the H1N1 virus itself and the next report says getting immunized is a must. There are many reputable sources that say it is nothing but scare tactics by the makers of the vaccine and most of the numbers regarding deaths from H1N1 are being blown out of proportion while at the same time others such as the CDC say the H1N1 vaccine is totally safe and it is a must especially for pregnant women and small children. There are several documented cases of death following H1N1 vaccinations. Reports are now saying that actress Brittany Murphy suffered from flu like symptoms in the days just prior to her death. I haven’t heard whether or not she had received the H1N1 vaccine or not. Could this be yet another cover up?

I Am Really Scared About H1n1! Help Me!?
This girl in my school (lets call her Mallory) has H1N1 (or otherwise known as swine as you all must know) And my best friend( Lets call her Cheya) sits in her desk for one class. Today (before we found out that Mallory had H1N1), Cheya had a terrible headache so she put her head on the desk. After we found out that Mallory had H1N1, We got to go home early, so we were driving a little kid home and we passed Mallory’s house. And we saw an EMS truck… Thats when Cheya really started freaking out… When we got to Cheya’s place we immedeatly started dissenfecting. She also said she had all the symptoms like diarreah, headaches,sorethroats… stuff like that… But I really wanna know If I’m overreacting…

I need to get the vaccine soon. Im a healthy teen. But im really worried about this guillan barre syndrom. How many people have had it from the h1n1 vaccine? If you were to get it from the vaccine how long after you get the vaccine will you start developing symptoms? should i b worried about this?
