They have rules where I’m delivering because of h1n1 going around. I can pick 3 people to come into labor and delivery. They will get wristbands after they’ve been checked for flu symptoms and these are the only 3 people that can use the wristbands. Once I’m moved to postpartum visiting hours are from 2-7 and you can have 3 visitors at a time after they have also been checked for flu symptoms. No one under 18 can visit unless they are one of the original 3 that got a wristband. Is anyone else hospital doing something similar? It doesn’t really affect me either way because most likely it will just be my boyfriend there.My family is 6 hours away and probably won’t make it until after I have the baby but I could see some people being upset because both sets of grandparents plus their boyfriend can’t all be there. What do you all think?

I would like to hear from people who has,had,or knows someone with the H1N1 virus. I would like to know the symptoms they experienced, the duration of sickness, and severity of the illness. I would really like to hear from parents who care for children that experience the virus.
My son is currently sick and we have a doctors appointment tomorrow. There have been a few cases of H1N1 in the area and well I am a concerned parent. He has a fever, slight cough, and a stuffy nose. His fever goes down with motrin then comes back up when it wears off. I would just like some information from people who dealt with it…..
Anyone Die From The H1n1 Flu Shot And Would You Rather…?
I’ve seen lots of concerns about the H1N1 and have heard of deaths with people who have had the H1N1 flu illness but haven’t heard of any deaths from the H1N1 shot. I know people can have symptoms and claim they get sick from the shot but if they have side effects (I also know babies who have vaccines can get side effects like sore arm or fever) do they typically go away or has anyone had side effects bad enough that they would have rather actually get the flu and possibly die? How many would rather get the actual flu (missed work or school, hospitalization, possibly death) then get the shot?
My Daughter May Have H1n1… Has Anyone Else Experienced This With A Loved One?
My daughter has been sick for 4 days straight… She has had high fever ranging from 99.7-103.5. She has a sore throat and really bad cough and stuffed nose (sometimes runny). Her neck hurts when she moves it or if I try to tie her hair, she has a really bad headache, her body hurts and so does her lower abdomen on the left side.
I took her to the ER yesterday and they said (after 6 hrs of waiting) that it looks like H1N1 but since the symptoms are early and she doesn’t have any respitory problems they can not do anything….
Why would they wait till the last minute? Has anyone experienced this? She keeps getting really bad chills aswell

My son had a mild case. His test came back neg (Influ A)for H1N1 but doc said it does in some cases. But he has asthma and his asthma was acting up. He had no fever and slight sore throat, a headache, stomach pains,and mild body aches. He was also tiered all the time. little color of the face and dark circles around his eyes. Doc said it was a mild case.
Wondering what other people experienced.
I feel the media has been overplaying this and has everyone worried. I have heared there are mild cases and severe cases.

Has Anyone Had H1n1 While Pregnant And Not Taken Tamiflu?
It has not been confirmed that I have H1N1 ( I was confirmed to have a flu) yet they told me to start taking Tamiflu. It has already been three days since the symptoms started and I feel fine. I have a cough every now and then and as of right now…no fever! I don’t really want to take the Tamiflu if it’s not absolutely necessary!!! Has anyone had it and not taken it? Please help!
