For about 5(maybe more) days now I’ve been having some cold like symptoms, but the worst is the chest pains. At first when all of this started it didn’t hurt to take deep breaths, or breath at all, but that’s slowly changing. I’ve no longer got cold symptoms besides my cough, and my chest being sore. but now when i take deep breaths it hurts my chest and sometimes it shoots to my back. It hurts in the sternum area as well. It never stays in one place. More so on the left side, I find, but it’s just about everywhere. It comes and goes, but today was pretty bad. Also, I’ve been fighting a nasty headache on and off. I’ve been taking my puffers for my chest, in which I haven’t been affected by my asthma for atleast two years now, and it’s something that is bothering me right now.
Should I get checked for h1n1? I was with my friend today who was basically diagnosed with it, and she caught it from her other friend.
I just don’t want the doctor to think I’m lying because I was in this afternoon with my friend and yes, I was experiencing chest pains and a cough, but I don’t want them to think I’m crazy that the symptoms have gotten worse since I’ve been with my friend this morning/afternoon.

Did I Get H1n1? Or Regular Season Flu? Confused!!! Please Help?
So 4 weeks ago I got my regular season flu shot… I was gonna get my H1N1 shot tomorrow, but over the weekend I came down with flu like symptoms and was diagnosed with “Influenza A”, doctor assumed it was H1N1 since I got my flu shot for seasonal already. But instead of being sick like a dog for 2 weeks like my friends with H1N1, I recovered in 2 days!!! (Thank God!!)
I heard that if you got the seasonal flu shot, you can still get sick with the seasonal flu, but a minor version (like the one I had) of the flu. What do you guys think? How can I know for sure?
I am asking because I am wondering if I should still go ahead with the H1N1 vaccine now that I got this flu… THANKS!!

I am 14 years of age and i have a very very mild case of asthma and am otherwise healthy. My asthma surfaced last year during the heat of the summer, my house had no air conditioning and i went into hyproventilating fit. this lasted for three days off and on…. we went to the doctor and he took me to the hospital and a breathing test was done. And i was confirmed to have a mild case of Asthma……9 months later i had a similar reaction that lsated 7 minutes and that was it….i have otherwise had no asthmatic symptoms. If i were to catch H1N1 (and i most likely will as i live in the SouthEast US and go to high school) would i be at a heightened risk for death from the viral infection? Is it probable that I’d die or have to be hospitalized?

I’m sick and I feel like I have a mini flu-Not a terrible one like the influenzas I’ve gotten in the past but a less virulent one. I have been tired, had some stomach pain but not vomiting or diarreah, headache, sore throat, stuffy and runny nose, and sneezing and coughing..And plus I woke up today and the back of my calves were sore but I don’t know if it has anything to do with being sick…I went to the doctors and they said I don’t have strep throat, but they suggested mono, but they have said that 3 times in the past but it turned out to be the flu. So what do you think is wrong with me?

I had the h1n1 vaccine shot on Friday of last week. Yesterday I woke up with nausea, vomiting, fever, chills, body aches, and weakness. I know doctors say that you cannot get h1n1 virus from the vaccine, but then why am I having these symptoms? My baby is sleeping a lot and sluggish today. I’ve been breastfeeding. I called my dr today and he said that if I am having symptoms after the vaccine, he doesn’t recommend that I breastfeed until I feel better. Will my baby get sick because I breastfed her? Should I take her to the dr and see if they can give her medicine so that she doesn’t get sick? I don’t know what to do.
