Over the weekend I visited friends in Denver. I started feeling sick, mostly respiratory symptoms but also some chills. I found out, after the fact, that they’d put me in their daughter’s room, and she had missed the previous week of school because of h1n1. I just figured that’s what I had, and yesterday (Tuesday), I woke up feeling tired and headachy and congested, but without a fever. It didn’t get worse, and today I feel pretty much fine. Is it possible I got a really mild case? Or am I a hypocondriac, since anyone exposed to such a virus would certainly get sicker than I did?

With H1n1 Going Around, Should I Go Into A Hospital If I Am Not Sick?
I have Multiple Sclerosis and also pre-diabetes. I am scheduled for a routine MRI tomorrow. There was a story in our local paper encouraging those that aren’t feeling well to not go to the hospital. Also, I have seen other articles in the past encouraging those that think they have some symptoms to call their doctor as opposed to going to the hospital because then they might get the flu for sure.
I understand take precautions and they try to be as sanitary as they can be, but I do not want to take any chances.
Also, I have not gotten the H1N1 shot.

How Long Does It Take For You To Actually Become Sick?
Like if you came in contact with the H1N1 virus, how long would it be until you started showing symptoms, and then how long until it became a full blown infection?

Had H1n1 3 Weeks Ago. Now I’m Sick Again…not Sure If I Ever Completely Recovered?
I was diagnosed with H1N1 flu the first week in Nov.(had all the symptoms high fever, aches, sore throat, headache and had a positive nasal swab) Two weeks later I got a cold that lasted for a week. Now(3 wks after H1N1) I am sick again with a severe cold/sinus infection…also have a sore throat again, but no fever. Is it possible this is a secondary bacterial infection from H1N1? Thanks.

My Child Was Too Late Getting H1n1 Vaccine. Should I Be Concerned That She Is Now Sick With The Flu?
My daughter was sick with a cough (known to accompany H1N1) when we took her to be vaccinated with the adjuvanted version of the H1N1 vaccine. My son was turned away because he was already ill and they were worried the vaccine would worsen his symptoms. We are in an H1N1 hotspot and have been told that there is no strain of seasonal flu in this area. If we have the flu, it is H1N1. My son’s case was fairly mild and he is nearly over it, but should I be much more concerned about my daughter considering she appears to have H1N1 (coughing, 102F fever, lethargic, no appetite) AND has the adjuvanted (or boosted) version of the vaccine in her system.

My 8 Y/o Child Is Sick With A Fever And He Vomited Once Yesterday Afternoon..?
He is also coughing and nauseous. How can I be sure that caring for him at home (rest, fever medicine, fluids) is all that he requires? At what point should I seek professional treatment for him, and/or how do I know it’s not H1N1, as the H1N1 symptoms sound very similar to the ‘regular’ flu?

Is It Wise To Get A H1n1 Vaccine (shot) If You Are Sick?
Is it wise to get a H1N1 vaccine (shot) if you are sick? I have a runny nose, sneezing, and coughing. I had these symptoms for 3-4 day already is it a good idea, or shall I wait?

Sick. Here’s My Symptoms. Do I Have The Regular Flu Or H1n1?
I woke up this morning with a fever of 102.6 and a horrible headache. I took two ibuprofen and went to sleep. 4 hours later I woke up and my headache was gone but my temperature was now 103.0. But I’m not throwing up and don’t have an upset stomach.
-High fever.
-Back hurts.
-Neck hurts.
-Headache.
-Arms and legs hurt.
-Sinus congestion.
-Coughing.
-Fatigue.
Does it sound like I have the flu or H1N1 even though I’m not vomiting or my stomach’s not hurting?
